He graduated from Sydney University in 1983 and worked in General Practice in Bathurst from 1987 to 2013. Dr Chew has a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (1987) and in 1991 he became a Fellow of the RACGP. He also has particular interests in Paediatrics, Geriatrics, Occupational Health and Mental Health.
